About us

One Body Church of Christ is a local congregation in Baldwin, FL, where we believe the Lord established one church on Pentecost in A. D. 33. We believe the bible is our only guide to salvation and one must be baptized in water for the remission of one's sins to be saved and added to the Lord's Church. We believe in acapella singing in our worship services, and take the Lord's supper every first day of the week. We are not a new church, just an extension of the church that the bible speaks of.

Our unique calling

We speak where the bible speaks and are silent where the bible does not speak As described in Eph. 4:4-6, there is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling: 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

2 Pet. 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Our Goal

One Body Church Of Christ 

Our goal is to preach the gospel to men and women, teaching them upon repentance and their confession. We baptize them in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins in water, Acts. 2:38, 8:12,13, Matt. 28:19, 20.

After one has been baptized, the Lord adds them to the church that they can read about in the Scriptures, as mentioned in Acts. 2:47.

We teach biblical principles that a Christian should live by. We take the Lord's Supper every first day of the week, as recorded in Acts. 20:7, 1 Cor. 11:23-29, giving as you prosper 2 Cor. 9:6-8, and a cappella singing in the worship service Heb. 2:12, and regular church assembly Acts. 20:7, Heb. 10:25.

Our Purpose

Mark. 16:15,16

And he said unto them Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be damned

Matt. 28:19 

Go ye therefore, teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen
